Spinach and Ikan Bilis

Chinese Combo Dinner. The next 2 recipes are for this meal. Spinach and Ikan Bilis and Pumpkin stew.

A small handful of dried ikan bilis. Soak in hot water for 10 mins.

Spinach. Chop and wash.

Oil and garlic, fry till golden brown.

Add drained ikan bilis and fry till oil is infused with ikan bilis.

Add spinach and fry till 80% cooked.

Add water and shimmer till soft, shouldn't take more than a couple of mintues. I usually don't feed her the ikan bilis as it is hard and has a bitter after taste.


Letitia's verdict: 7/10 ( she was so crazy about the pumpkin she kind of didn't want to eat the spinach.)
Mummy's verdict: Easy to make. Time taken 5 mins.
